Resource Center for Independent Living, Inc. (RCIL) is inviting you to join Youth Transition Club!  This group is for youth and young adults ages (14-24) with disabilities in Lyon County.  In this group you will have the opportunity to learn independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and employment skills.  Youth Transition Club meets on the last Monday of each month (except on holidays) at 5:00 p.m.  Although we’ve been doing all meetings virtual via Zoom, we are trying to start transitioning back to in person meetings.  This month we are giving the option to do it in person and via Zoom.  Youth Transition Club is organized and led by Crystal Barbary, RCIL’s Youth Transition Specialist.

The word SLIME is in color green in front of a rainbow color background.

Come out and join us Monday June 28th at 5:00 p.m.  This month’s meeting we will be making SLIME! This recipe will teach youth a quick and easy way to make something that promotes mindfulness, helps youth focus, encourages them to play independently, promotes fine motor skills, and is calming.  This is a free event for youth ages 14-24 with disabilities and their families.  If you want to join us, have any questions or need more information please email Crystal at crystal.barbary@rcilinc.org or you can direct message RCIL via Facebook and/or Instagram.  You can also contact Crystal at our Emporia office, 620-342-1648.  Please RSVP by June 23, 2021.  Hope to see you there!
