The RCIL Consumer-Directed Handbook Is Now Available!

The recently updated RCIL Consumer-Directed Handbook is now available.  In it you can find information on how to direct your own care and be the employer of your Direct Support Workers (DSW).  Information in the handbook includes tips on advertising and interviewing potential Direct Support Workers, using the AuthentiCare KS Electronic Visitor Verification system, background checks for DSWs, Consumer’s Rights and Responsibilities, emergency planning and much more!

Click on the “Resources” tab and go to the “Self-Direction Tools” on the dropdown box to find the RCIL Consumer-Directed Handbook. You can also access the handbook directly and download it at the button below.
