Research Participants Needed!

The University of Kansas Research and Training Center on Independent Living (RTCIL) is seeking persons who use manual wheelchairs for a study. If you use a manual wheelchair, if you want to become more physically active, and if you could use a Fitbit and an extra $100 you should check it out! Participants will be asked to complete surveys and a short interview, wear a Fitbit throughout the three month study, and engage weekly in a private online Facebook page with other study participants.

You get to keep the Fitbit and earn $100 at the end of the study!

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Have a mobility related disability
  • Use a manual wheelchair at least 50% of the time (for at least 6 months)
  • Have reliable internet access and a smartphone (iPhone or Samsung)
