Evergy Resuming Residential Disconnects May 3rd

Posted April 28, 2021 by Mandy Smith in ,

Evergy will be resuming residential disconnects on Monday, May 3rd.  Evergy will not be offering any special pay agreements after Friday.  If you have a large balance that has previously been on a pay agreement, please contact Evergy by Friday to get a quote to set up a pay agreement.  You will also need to make sure that payment to set up the pay agreement is made on Friday.

Evergy’s pay agreements split the account balance into 12 installments.  The first 1/12th payment is needed to start the pay agreement.  If a portion of the account balance has previously been on a pay agreement, you must pay the broken pay agreement balance + 1/12th of the remainder total account balance to initiate a pay agreement.  Once a pay agreement is set up, all payments must be made by the due date and in full to keep the pay agreement from breaking.  If the pay agreement breaks, a disconnect notice will go out for the full account balance, and the customer will not be eligible for a new pay agreement until that balance is paid off.

Here is a list of financial assistance available on Evergy’s website  www.evergy.com/financialhelp .
