Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)

The Resource Center for Independent Living provides Targeted Case Management and Financial Management Services for the HCBS Waivers as well as other services designed to allow an individual to remain as independently as possible in their own homes and communities.

HCBS Waivers

We are a provider for the following Kansas HCBS Waivers:

• Physical Disability (PD) – Targeted Case Management & Self-Directed FMS Provider
• Frail & Elderly (FE) – Self-Directed FMS Provider
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) – Targeted Case Management, Transitional Living Skills & Self-Directed FMS Provider
• Developmental Disability (DD) – Affiliate Payroll Agent
• Technology Assisted (TA)- Self-Directed FMS Provider

Payroll & Billing

We are a state-approved FMS payroll provider for HCBS self-directed attendant care services. Most often, individuals are recipients of PD, FE, TBI, or TA HCBS waiver services. We are a payroll agent for HCBS DD and Senior Care Act affiliated agencies. We also contract with consumer and/or families for private pay payroll services.

Targeted Case Management

We provide targeted case management for people on the HCBS PD Waiver. We also provide targeted case management for individuals receiving HCBS TBI Waiver services.

Our targeted case managers work with individuals to develop an annual plan of care to meet their needs. This plan ensures access to a variety of services and service providers. Case managers work with other providers to gain the best available services while promoting the independent living philosophy.
